Is parking readily available?
Yes, there is lots of FREE parking right outside the clinic’s doors.
Do I need a referral to see a doctor?
If you are a new patient, you will need a referral from a doctor or nurse practitioner in order to see a LEAF physician. Patients who are already known to LEAF physicians do not require a new referral.
Is there a fee to see a doctor?
Not if you’re covered by OHIP and referred by a physician or nurse practitioner. If you are from out of province or do not have a valid OHIP card, then there is a fee to see one of our physicians.
Do your doctors treat children?
Not at this time… our specialists focus on the care of those who are 18 years of age and older.
What happens after my first visit with a doctor?
After your consultation with one of our physicians, you might choose to enroll in a LEAF program such as LIFE™, ROOT™, or BUDS™. From that point, our staff will help arrange the appropriate follow-up and support at LEAF.
Is there a cost for your programs?
Yes. LEAF offers four medical programs at this time: PODS™, BUDS™, ROOT™, and LIFE™. We have to charge for our programs because we do not receive funding from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MoH<C) or the Ontario Bariatric Network (OBN).
Can I meet only with a dietitian?
Yes. The BUDS™ program is specifically meant for people who only want to have private consultations with a registered dietitian and do not need medical supervision from a LEAF physician.
