In a small saucepan cook peas and edamame in boiling water (~10 min) until very tender; drain.
Transfer to a food processor or chopper. Add lemon juice, salt and pepper. Cover and process by pulsing until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides as necessary.
In the same saucepan, heat oil ver medium heat. Add garlic, cook and stir (~1 min) until tender and fragrant. Remove from heat and add to edamame mixture and pulse again until well blended. Add basil and pulse again.
Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Serve with whole grain toasts - baguette or pita.
